Brief Description:

Professional Doncaster based mini bus service with 35 years experience.

The Idea:

I was asked by a college tutor during my studies to produce a website for a friend of theirs who provided minibus hire. This company had not got to grips with the fast changing and improving technology times and relied on 'word of mouth' to get business. I was asked to do this because I had a passion for website design and was something I wanted to develop further and this was a great opportunity to not only help a friend but to advertise my business and skills.

Development:

During a discussion over coffee and exchanging ideas, I knew I could provide a quality service getting Keith more work through a website which included SEO. The next step was to take a collection of photographs of the minibus and talk more with Keith, asking for stories and examples where he helped someone out to really make a difference. These snippets of information I could then include into the website to ensure customers knew they were getting a quality service.

Handover:

This wasn't handed over as such, Keith is a technophobe. We discussed I would be fully responsible for ensuring the site was live and upto date. I also created and managed Facebook, Twitter and Yell.com pages. Keith has since decided to retire so I took the website and Social Media Sites down but he did say he did get a lot of work through my services.

The Idea:

This project was to create advertising media for Andrew returning to the industry after a career break.

Development:

After chatting via social media we decided I was to create a new logo for a upcoming new website and poster.

Handover:

This project was fun and improved my graphic and website design skills.

Brief Description:

This is an entertainment company.

The Idea:

This project was initiated by Bee Entertained being follower 100 on Twitter in which at the time I had Facebook and Twitter promotions offering a free service at certain follower milestones..

Development:

The company was interested in rebranding their company with a new theme and style.

Handover:

This project was fun, I remember creating a few prototypes and my graphic design skills were boosted in the creation of this media.

Brief Description:

This is a local client who has been associated with Avon since 2014.

The Idea:

I was approached by Cheryl to create branding for Social Media, a functional mobile friendly website complete with contact forms and e-mail accounts as required. .

Development:

After a brief one to one meeting I was made aware that Cheryl is a passionate Avon recruiter and knew what she wanted design wise.

Handover:

Branding didn't take too long; the website took longer than anticipated because of mobile cross compatible functionality.

This is for a friend who is a skilled spiritual councillor who performs tarot readings.

The Idea:

I was approached to create a poster to an upcoming event.

Development:

After a brief conversation via social media I was to create a poster based on the sketch i had been sent as shown below.

Handover:

This project was fun, improved my design skills, client was over the moon with the design which in turn got me more work through my design skills.

Brief Description:

This is a local shop which sells wooden toys and games.

The Idea:

This project was initiated by referral to a local company needing a college student to work on the web side of their business and I was referred.

Development:

The company needed help with maintenance and advertising of their website as well as having, running and maintaining a eBay store.

The Design:

I only have the above logo which I designed and created for the eBay store.

Handover:

This project was fun, gained early experience in working with eCommerce Shops and was only during the current college year I was in.

Brief Description:

For all of your entertainment needs.

The Idea:

On the road to sky-rocketing my business the Job Centre at the time put me in contact with the Princes Trust who help like minded people like myself who aren't getting the limelight we deserve. Alongside learning about the business side of starting my own company I was invited to networking events to promote my business as well as go on business courses to learn more about business by people who had been their and done that. During a networking session which was more like a discussion of our aims of what we wanted the Princes Trust to help us with, their were people who required different skills and services. Jade was one of these people who needed help to advertise and promote thier business with the use of posters, a website, and advertising this is where I stepped in and we exchanged contact details.

Development:

During a discussion over coffee and exchanging ideas, I knew I could provide a quality service resolving the lack of SEO and advertising. The next step was to note down colour schemes and what services could be hired with Jade. These snippets of information I could then include into the website to ensure customers knew they were getting a quality service.

Handover:

This website wasn't handed over as such, Jade is a technophobe. We discussed I would be fully responsible for ensuring the site was live and upto date albeit being static. The posters I created were e-mailed to Jade in high resolution and I recommended local printing companies who could print the posters accordingly. I also designed business cards which would be available at venues following the same theme of the posters and website.

Brief Description:

Handmade Gifts from just £2.

The Idea:

Kelly is a friend of mine, who one day I got into crafting, which when she got started, was hooked and with no one to give her creations to, decided to sell them at cost, the more she crafted the more experience and daring she got! Business grew too fast she needed a online store where people could order personalised gifts on a strong secure website,

Development:

I had already designed her the logo and advertisement media but not the website. I asked for a list of what products would be in the store and followed the colour theme from the designs I had already created.

Handover:

This website, no project, was HUGE, time consuming and had me learning new skills to meet secure payment requirements. I had to learn basic codes from languages such as PHP and MYSQL and to this day I need to learn more of this. I used a basic paypal store for this website but I intend to learn how to make robust uniques stores in time to meet demanding eCommerce needs.

Brief Description:

This was a media company.

The Idea:

This project was initiated by a couple of friends on a film making/media course at college needing a personal website other than Youtube to house their productions.

Development:

A website and logo was needed, alongside designs needed to personalise their Myspace page back in the day.

[See Header] Unfortunately I have no other files on this project. Project being above 10 years old, have since learnt to back up projects!!

This project was a quick fast paced project, found via word of mouth that needed a logo and fast.

Development:

The company needed a logo fast which I turned around within an hour for promotional purposes, meeting current design standards at the time.

I only have the above logo which I designed and created within an hour.
